2022 Annual Report

Letter from the Executive Director

Friends,

It is with great pride and appreciation for the amazing work of our team that I present to you our 2022 Annual Report. This report is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, board, and volunteers who tirelessly strive to provide high-quality legal services to those in need.

2022 was a year of innovation at AVLF, as our program staff continued our tradition of adapting and improving our approach to bringing legal services to tenants and survivors of abuse. Our collaborative team provided online legal clinics, developed new mobile resources, and expanded our eviction services. Through their efforts, we were able to provide critical legal assistance to those who would otherwise have been left without their voices heard.

We’re always thinking outside the box to meet our clients where they are. This Annual Report makes it clear that we are still asking questions, questioning conventions, and listening to our clients and partners, all as we shape our programs to meet the evolving needs of our community.

Thank you for your commitment to AVLF and our efforts to promote safe and stable families. We hope this report will inspire you to continue your support of our mission in the years to come.

With Gratitude,

Michael Lucas
Executive Director
